The Book:

In “Weapons of the Irish War of Independence” Kieran once again demonstrates his encyclopaedic knowledge of historical weapons and, in combining it with his proven writing skills, has produced another accessible and comprehensive overview of the weapons used in the struggle to create a free and independent Ireland.

These two books combined constitute a unique encyclopedia of the weapons used on all sides during the Irish struggle for independence in the period 1916-21, and are a must for every student of the period.

The Author:

Kieran McMullen 1is a retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel of Field Artillery and veteran of both the Korean DMZ and Operation Desert Storm. A 14-year career in law enforcement followed.

Kieran is a trained shooting firearms instructor and reconstructionist. In addition, he has a BA in Irish History and an MA in Human Resources.

Kieran and his wife have a small farm in coastal Darien, Georgia with their horses, chickens, and Irish Wolfhound, and are frequent visitors in Ireland.

Kieran is the author of several published works of fiction including ”Sherlock Holmes and the Irish Rebels” and the widely acclaimed “Weapons of the Easter Rising”.
